Recipes: Chocolate Chip Cookies



Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies


Ingredients:


  • 4oz. Butter
  • 3oz. Brown sugar
  • 4oz. Cruchy peanut butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 6oz. Plain flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Bicarbonate of soda
  • 40z. Chocolate chips

Method:

 

  1. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Blend in the peanut butter.
  3. Lightly mix the egg and vanilla and gradually beat into the creamed butter and sugar.
  4. Sift the flour with the bicarbonate of soda and salt.
  5. Fold into the creamed mixture.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Put heaped teaspoons of the mixture 11/2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets and flatten them with a wet spoon.
  8. Bake them in a preheated oven (375 degrees farenheit) for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Cool on a wire rack.

 





Toll House Cookies


Ingredients:                                                                                                     


  • 4oz. Butter
  • 11/2oz. Castor sugar
  • 3oz. Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 4oz. Plain flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 4oz. Chocolate chips
  • 2oz. Walnuts

Method:


  1. Cream the butter.
  2. Beat in the two sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Lightly mix the egg and vanilla.
  4. Gradually beat them into the creamed ingredients.
  5. Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt together.
  6. Fold into the creamed mixture.
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  8. Spoon heaped teaspoons onto the prepared baking sheets, well apart to leave room to spread.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven (350 degrees farenheit) for 10-12 minutes until lightly browen.
  10. Cool on a wire rack.

White Chocolate Chip Cookies


Ingredients:                                                                                                     


  • 4oz. Butter
  • 2oz. Light brown sugar
  • 21/2oz. Dark brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 6oz. Plain flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 5oz. White chocolate chips
  • 2oz. Pecan nuts chopped

Method:


  1. Cream the butter and two sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Lightly mix the egg and vanilla.
  3. Gradually beat them into the creamed ingredients.
  4. Sift the flour with the bicarbonate of soda.
  5. Fold the flour into the mixture.
  6. Stir in the chocolate and nuts.
  7. Form the dough into 11/2 inch balls.
  8. Put on the prepared baking sheet 1 inch apart.
  9. Flatten with the palm of your hand.
  10. Bake them in the preheated oven (350 degrees fahrenheit) for 10-12 minutes.
  11. Cool on a wire rack.
