Recipes: Chocolate Chip Cookies
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 4oz. Butter
- 3oz. Brown sugar
- 4oz. Cruchy peanut butter
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 6oz. Plain flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon Bicarbonate of soda
- 40z. Chocolate chips
Method:
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Blend in the peanut butter.
- Lightly mix the egg and vanilla and gradually beat into the creamed butter and sugar.
- Sift the flour with the bicarbonate of soda and salt.
- Fold into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Put heaped teaspoons of the mixture 11/2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets and flatten them with a wet spoon.
- Bake them in a preheated oven (375 degrees farenheit) for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.

Toll House Cookies
Ingredients:
- 4oz. Butter
- 11/2oz. Castor sugar
- 3oz. Brown sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla
- 4oz. Plain flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 4oz. Chocolate chips
- 2oz. Walnuts
Method:
- Cream the butter.
- Beat in the two sugars until light and fluffy.
- Lightly mix the egg and vanilla.
- Gradually beat them into the creamed ingredients.
- Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt together.
- Fold into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spoon heaped teaspoons onto the prepared baking sheets, well apart to leave room to spread.
- Bake in a preheated oven (350 degrees farenheit) for 10-12 minutes until lightly browen.
- Cool on a wire rack.

White Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 4oz. Butter
- 2oz. Light brown sugar
- 21/2oz. Dark brown sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 6oz. Plain flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 5oz. White chocolate chips
- 2oz. Pecan nuts chopped
Method:
- Cream the butter and two sugars until light and fluffy.
- Lightly mix the egg and vanilla.
- Gradually beat them into the creamed ingredients.
- Sift the flour with the bicarbonate of soda.
- Fold the flour into the mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate and nuts.
- Form the dough into 11/2 inch balls.
- Put on the prepared baking sheet 1 inch apart.
- Flatten with the palm of your hand.
- Bake them in the preheated oven (350 degrees fahrenheit) for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
