Chocolate Pie 1
Ingredients:
1 ready baked pie crust
2 ½ blocks of chocolate
2 ½ cups milk
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
2 beaten eggs
2 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
Method:
Heat milk and chocolate and beat until smooth.
Mix milk sugar and salt, add beaten eggs.
Add small amounts of the chocolate mixture while beating vigorously.
Boil slowly over boiling water whilst stirring all the time until thick.
Add the butter and vanilla.
Pour into baked pie crust and allow to set.
Serve with wiped cream

Pie Crust:
Roll out short crust pastry ¼ inch thick a little larger than the pan to allow for shrinking.
Brush edge with cold water and put on a strip of puff pastry 1 inch wide to form a rim and press into fluted shape.
Prick the bottom well with a fork, glaze over with beaten egg and bake in a 450°F oven until half baked.
Add filling and bake at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes until filling is firm and pie filling set.
Pie Filling:
1 cup boiling milk
2 tablespoons cornflour
4 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa dissolved in a little hot water.
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 well beaten egg yolks
Method:
Mix the cornflour, sugar and cocoa.
Pour the boiled milk on this mixture.
Mix.
Add salt vanilla and egg yolks and mix well.
Pour in crust and bake.

Frosted Cocoa
Ingredient (for syrup to be used in frosted cocoa):
½ cup cocoa
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sugar
Method:
Dissolve cocoa in the boiling water.
Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
Allow to boil for 5 minutes.
Pour into a bottle and allow to cool before using for frosted cocoa.
Making The Frosted Cocoa:
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of the chocolate syrup
1 cup cold milk
2 table spoons ice cream
4 cubes ice
Method:
Mix all ingredients in a blender until well blended.
Pour into tall glasses and serve topped with cream or ice cream.
